Whimsical Chandelier in Gold and Silver

Whimsical Gold and Silver Star Chandelier
Wow! This is a beautiful chandelier with a mixture of silver and gold! This smaller chandelier needs a special place because of its beauty, like a small foyer or bath. The iron fixture has a tall leaf feature in the middle that is all finished in a heavy distressed silver. The silver is repeated on the stars that hangs from the four candles, stars that hang among the leaves and the stars that adorn the top too. Size: 17" across the round chandelier x 28" high up to where the chain meets. Beautiful!  Item C09929 at The Designer Insider.

Five Unique Ways to Use Wallpaper!

Wallpaper Ideas: Below are five great ideas for using wallpaper in your home. Perfect way to use your leftovers too!

Cover just a feature wall and give your space a new dimension. Paper: Crivelli Trellis BP3107 from Farrow and Ball.

Create artwork from a single design that fits the space. Add molding to complete the look. Paper: Peony BP2302 from Farrow and Ball.

Make a colorful lampshade to reflect the design of your room. Paper: Closet Stripe ST364 from Farrow and Ball.

Brighten your drawers by using a colorful pattern of wallpaper. Continue the look from your walls right into your kitchen drawers. Paper: St. Antoine BP947 from Farrow and Ball.

Make a headboard that follows the design on the wallpaper. Paper: Silvergate BP852 from Farrow and Ball.
Instructions below on how this headboard look was achieved.

Instructions:

1. This headboard is applied directly to the wall, so move your bed away to give you room to work.

2. Choose an outline for your headboard that will complement the design on your leftover wallpaper.

3. Measure the width of your bed and decide on the height of your headboard.

4. Using these measurements, cut enough wallpaper to fill the required space making sure the pattern   matches up. The design in our image took three drops.

5. Lay your wallpaper drops side-by-side on the floor.

6. Draw the left-hand side of the headboard in pencil and cut out. You can now use this as a template for the right-hand side; this technique ensures both sides are symmetrical.

7. Paste the central drop of wallpaper and leave to soak for 3-5 minutes.

8. Mark a center point for your headboard on the wall and use this as a guide to hang the first drop.

9. Paste the remaining drops and leave to soak for 3-5 minutes.

10. Hang the remaining drops either side of the central drop and leave to dry. Now you can put your bed back and admire your handy work.

Now you do not have to buy furniture!!  All of these great ideas comes from Farrow and Ball.
