Fabrics and Paint Choices for Your Home

Robert Allen is introducing another great group of fabrics with paint colors to match. Beautiful colors are mixed with soothing whites for a bright and unique palette. Your room is done!



Fabrics from the top:

Yarn Burst - Colorway is Leek. This small pattern is 100% cotton and is a multi-purpose fabric.

Go Go - Colorway is Zest. This fabric has heavy duty performance with a polyurethane/cotton/poly blend. Also it has a high sheen.

Go Go - Colorway is Marshmallow. See above.

Soft Stripes - Colorway is Tulip. This is a beautiful fabric with a raised soft stripe. It is an acrylic/poly blend and is great for upholstery.

Circle Grove - Colorway is Tulip. This is our main fabric that is perfect for upholstery with a rayon/poly blend.

Topsfield Fair - Colorway is Ivory. This is a beautiful 100% polyester sheer perfect to add lightness and brightness to the room.

Ikat Neutral Fabrics from Schumacher

We love this exotic designed print from Schumacher! The stylized motif has been designed from an antique block printed textile and is loosely based on a vase of flowers. The linen ground is a combination of bleached and unbleached yarns adding to the natural look and feel. This colorway is Greige, see the other two great colorways below. Neutral Trim and Fabrics from Schumacher!


Marcel Tieback - This unique designed trim only comes in one colorway: Blanc/Linen. It has a long length of 33" and is 2.5" wide with a loop of faux leather for a modern appearance. Perfect decorative accent for using with natural draperies as seen here.


Andre Linen Tieback - This tieback has a lacy appearance with an open pattern that has been woven in linen and cotton. The accent of faux leather completes the design. It comes in just this one colorway: Oat. Size: 35" long x 3.125" wide.



The beautiful fabric on the pillow in the first photo is Roussillon Embroidery. A unique blend of linen/viscose/silk with a classic damask design. The shimmering threads are finely stitched in viscose and contrasts nicely with the linen and silk background. This colorway is Greige: the colorway on the pillow shown above is Chalk.

Lee Jofa and Suzanne Rheinstein Fabrics


Lee Jofa is introducing Suzanne Rheinstein's latest collection: Hollyhock II. Many fabrics in this collection are inspired by antique textiles that are available in wovens, patterns, textured plains, cotton checks and damask linens. One of our favorites is Indian Zag, a linen/cotton blend that is great for medium duty at 15,000 double rubs. This fabric has a large repeat of 27" vertical and horizontal. Made in the UK.  Colorways from the top: Paprika, Honey, Bark and Lake. Not shown: Indigo. To the Trade.

Natural Draperies Featuring Schumacher Fabrics

The Au Naturel collection from Schumacher features natural color palettes that surprisingly are a dramatic use for draperies. Below are some great designs from Schumacher, get this look!


Monceau Linen Embroidery - This pattern features graceful vines and foliage embroidered in a neutral shade against an all linen background. A large scaled pattern in two colorways: Zinc and Greige.




Bordered Fabric - This beautiful fabric comes with the border already part of the fabric. The classic Greek key design is embroidered in a border on either side of this linen/cotton blend. This fabric comes in Truffle, Zinc or Oyster.




Roussillon Embroidery - A classic damask design with a more modern approach! The shimmering threads are contrasted by a linen/silk background. A large scaled pattern in two colorways: Greige and Chalk.

Highland Court Fabrics by Duralee


Highland Court fabrics never disappoint! Always beautiful, all the time. Above are three great fabrics from the Marrakesh Collection/Turquoise. The ottoman is from Duralee Fine Furniture and is the Felix Boxed Cocktail Ottoman 1026 shown here with large nickel nail heads. The unique geometric fabric shown on the ottoman is made of an acrylic/cotton/polyester in a raised textured pattern. Shown here in Peacock but also comes in Dark Brown, Orange and Raspberry. Schumacher's Favorite Wallpaper!


Spring is here! Celebrate with one of the most beloved Schumacher wallcoverings that is now available as fabric too! The colorful creatures take wing amid a black and white background drawing of twining foliage. This pattern, Birds and Butterflies, adds a touch of spring to a range of interior spaces.



This beautiful pattern has been available in wallpaper and is now available in fabric too. The pattern is derived from a hand printed wallcovering that originated in the Decorator's Walk collection during the 1960's. See the specs below.

Design 101: Building A Color Palette For A Room

Start with a great basic fabric:

Cowtan and Tout
Pattern: Hurlingham
Colorway: Aqua
Repeat: Large at 31"v x 54"h
Linen/Cotton Blend



Add a coordinating second fabric:

Cowtan and Tout
Pattern: Rialto Stripe
Colorway: Teak-Straw
Repeat: 3.5"h
Cotton/Viscose Woven
Width: 62"w
Comes in three other colorways.

Add a solid patterned fabric:

Cowtan and Tout
Pattern: Essex
Colorway: Aqua
Repeat: 2.25"h
Viscose/Cotton Blend
Comes in four other colorways.

Next add other solids or very small patterns that coordinate. Such as woven browns or even the red/pink that is highlighted in the main fabric. And then finally choose paint colors. Don't use the main background color in the print for the walls, but choose one of the more subtle tones from this fabric. Do the unexpected!
